Willem Heytman is a continuously self-taught artist who continuously develops and innovates with colors and compositions. This shows courage and always wanting to improve his work. Painting summer sea and beach scenes alternating with cityscapes in a winter atmosphere and farm landscapes; one can find a variety of subjects on his canvases. His love for Paris and Amsterdam is also regularly reflected in his beautiful works of art. Even details usually excluded from paintings such as cars or a tram. Willem Heytman does not hesitate to portray his views on this in oil paint with great dedication. Working in this way for more than 20 years, Heytman is certainly a painter who knows his place among contemporary Dutch painting.
