Book 'Le Robinson Suisse' - Joseph Grouffin - Albert Uriet - Maison Alfred Mame et Fils - France - 1933
Rare children's book 'Le Robinson Suisse' from 1933, with a translation of the original text by Rodolphe Wyss by Joseph Grouffin and with iconic drawings by the famous French illustrator Albert Uriet. Publisher is Maison Alfred Mame et Fils from Tours. Through a compelling story and striking black and white and color prints, it is told how to survive on a deserted island.
Due to age and use, the book has some wear to the corners and the binding, but the book block is still solid and overall this book is in a very nice, albeit lived, condition. Only 17 copies of this work were printed on pure parchment paper from Papeteries Lafuma, numbered 1 to 17 on the press.
