Beautiful gouache by the globally renowned Belgian painter Marcel Stockmans, titled 'The Company' and signed at the bottom right by the master.

Marcel Stockmans (1936-2009) was born in Belgium but spent much of his life in Mississippi, United States. He is known for his primitive drawing style of American themes, such as former slavery.

However, this is one of his earliest works, probably painted in Belgium. An absolute opportunity!
