Fat Lava Fountain Vase - Glazed ceramic - Jade colored - Germany - 1970-1979
Particularly decorative fat lava fountain vase made of jade colored, marbled glazed ceramic, straight from the 1970s. An eye-catcher for any interior!
Fat Lava ceramics denotes, in a somewhat reductive way, the productions of German factories and studios of the 1950s and 1970s. It takes its name from the effects of enamelling, often used with orange-yellow colors, which give the surface of the pieces a characteristic appearance of bubbling lava. The term Fat Lava first appeared as the title of the German ceramics exhibition held in London in July–August 2006.
