This is a mixed media work, in which Lambrecht expresses his fascination for various raw materials, techniques and media: oil fascinates him just like watercolor, gouache, pastel, charcoal, chalk, pencil and washes. We find almost all of it in this beautiful, somewhat naive work.

Toon Lambrecht was born in 1939 in Aarsele and remained loyal to the Flemish countryside. His themes are also corresponding: daily human outdoor life, farm life, but also often combined with a poetic touch. Toon Lambrechts has exhibited several times from Watou over Ypres to Ghent, from Kanegem over Bruges to Leuven. He was also selected in the Provincial Prize Painting of West Flanders (1972), the Gaver Prize Map Waregem (1976), Art of the City of Leuven (1981) and again the Gaver Prize Painting in Waregem (1982).
