Antique Comtoise hanging clock - Gratiolet Père à Port Ste. Marie - Latoencopper, enamel, brass, oak - France - 1870-1899 (collection only!)

Exceptional antique comtoise hanging clock in yellow brass, marked 'Gratiolet Père à Port Ste. Marie' in Napoleon III style, 2nd half of the 19th century. With a very fine enamelled dial, large harp pendulum and the original winding key. Was overhauled in 1998 by the jeweler Alex Moens from Drongen (see photo). The cast iron weights are also gold-plated and operate the mechanical 8-day movement via ropework.

Port-Sainte-Marie is a commune in the Lot-et-Garonne department (Novelle-Aquitaine region) in France.
