Albert Isidore De Vos was a Belgian artist who was born in 1868 in Oostakker and who died in 1950 in Ghent. Was the brother of the composer Isidore De Vos. Education at the Academy in Ghent. Loved the sea and fishing life and often went on night fishing trips. Found his inspiration mainly in the sea and fishermen's life.
