Beautiful marine painting by the Dutch master Hendrik Vader (1928-1997) depicting ships on turbulent seas with fishermen watching the scene from the quay. Signed lower right and framed in a beautiful neoclassical frame of decorated oak.
Hendrik Vader is the pseudonym of Cor Corsius. He is the older brother of Frans Corsius. He was born in 1928 and died in 1997 in The Hague. He mainly painted for the art dealers who sold his work abroad. Vader mainly painted beach and seascapes, for which he was internationally renowned.
