Carlo Bimbi design dresser - Aluminium, chrome - Italy - 1980-1989

Particularly rare designer dresser by the Italian designer Carlo Bimbi (1944-?) in polychromed and chromed aluminium. Beautiful design in blue and red and signed on the foot 'Carlo Bimbi Design'.

Carlo Bimbi has been working in the field of design for forty years, with a skillful balance between logic and creativity. His intelligent enthusiasm led him to collaborate in the late 1960s with Nizzoli Associati, Gianni Ferrara and Nilo Gioacchini, then to start the Internotredici studio, with which he was one of Italy's protagonists: The New Domestic Landscape at the MoMA in New York. Carlo Bimbi has designed, and designs, for Arketipo, Guzzini, Ciatti, B&B Italia, Zucchetti Rubinetterie. For Segis he designed the Enrico chair, winner of the Roscoe Awards, and the Blitz chair, which won both the Red Dot and the iF Award in '98. He was a design teacher at the Institute of Art and the I.S.I.A. in Florence and currently teaches on the Industrial Design Degree Course at that city's Faculty of Architecture. His designs can be found in major museums in the world, including the MoMa in New York.
