Exceptionally large and particularly intriguing work by the internationally acclaimed Belgian artist Dominique Van Den Berghe, titled 'The 3 sisters'. Pastel on paper, signed and dated lower right and professionally framed behind glass.

Dominique Van Den Bergh (Antwerp, 1962-?) may have been born in Antwerp but was raised in Brussels where she works and lives. There she is also a professor of drawing at the School of Fine Arts of La Cambre. Started exhibiting at the end of the 1980s and hardly ever stopped, which led to her work ending up in various exhibitions and galleries. Best known for her dreamy, somewhat wry characters in pastel tones, fleeting characters who seem uncomfortable in a world full of unsettling shadows.
