Particularly rare antique decorative plate titled 'Spring' from the series of the 4 seasons designed by Franz Anton Mehlem for Royal Bonn. Beautiful Jugendstil with a woman wearing and holding a floral wreath. Signed on the bottom.

Royal Bonn ceramics was founded in 1836 by the 19th century potter and artist Franz Anton Mehlem. The factory produced high-quality works of both porcelain and earthenware, which quickly became popular among the elite European aristocracy. Royal Bonn used several brands to distinguish the firm's goods. Below that were a monogram-and-toren on exported pottery, the name 'Bonn', the initials FM and a crown. In 1890, both 'Royal' and '1755' were added to the pottery mark and continued to be used until 1920. In 1921 Royal Bonn was bought by Villeroy & Boch and then closed in 1931.
