A beautiful pair of vases in Booms black glassware from glass factory De Ruppel, in late Art Nouveau finish with hand-painted floral decor.

The Boom glass factory 'De Ruppel' produced an extensive range of drinking, decorative and lighting glass from 1923 to 1982. The best known is the black Boom glass, decorated with gold or flowers. The raw material for the Boom glass was quartz sand from the Antwerp and Limburg Kempen. The sand was delivered by train to be melted into glass at the glass factory in Boom.
