Antique 'Doulton's Improved Foot Warmer' in stoneware from the Lambeth Pottery London, late 19th century. This beige stoneware bottle with blue decoration was filled with hot water to keep the feet warm in the cold days of the turn of the century. With incised screw cap 'Doulton & Co Ltd Lambeth'.

Royal Doulton is an English manufacturer of ceramics and home accessories that was founded in 1815. It originally operated in Vauxhall, London, and later moved to premises in Lambeth Street, also in London. From 1853 to 1901 the goods were marked as Doulton & Co., and from 1901, when a royal warrant was given, Royal Doulton. Today, Royal Doulton mainly produces tableware and figurines, but also cookware, glassware and other home accessories such as linen, curtains and lighting.
