The French painter Bernard Charoy (1931) is especially praised for his endearing portraits of women. However, the delicate enchanting sentiment also appears in his poetic landscape work. Charoy began working at Paris's Montmartre Studio in 1955, where he studied painting and lithography from local artists, painters and designers. In the 1960s, Charoy mainly accepted commissions from news and magazine agencies to create attractive works of art, especially for the print media. However, since the 1970s, Charoy's work has been exhibited around the world, including the United States, Germany, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, France and Belgium.
